Have you ever thought that your watch looks like it has stopped the moment you look at it?

Chronostasis is an illusion where following a new event or task, your brain can appear to extend time. This occurs when your eye focuses on a target stimulus following a saccade (quick eye movement). This can extend apparent durations by up to half a second.
