Grunt Work
You really have to see it to believe it, but there is a technique called worm grunting that can be used to attract worms. It involves producing vibrations underground to imitate digging moles, who are natural predators of earthworms.[1] Reacting to these vibrations, the worms surface above ground in droves.
Of course, there are even competitions around the world for this. Rather sadly, the heatwave at the 2022 Falmouth Worm Charming Championships in Cornwall resulted in only a singular worm being charmed.[2]
